Russian Dissident Navalny Poisoned With Novichok Nerve Agent, Germany Says

BERLIN—Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny was poisoned with the chemical nerve agent Novichok, the German authorities verified Wednesday, presenting the strongest proof but that the assault could have been carried out by Russian condition agents.

Mr. Navalny was flown to Germany for medical remedy on Aug. 22 right after falling critically unwell in Russia. He underwent extensive exams at Berlin’s Charité medical center and samples had been tested in a particular laboratory run by the German army.
